40+ Reliable Places to Sell Your Own Stuff

Ideally, you want to aim for multiple streams of income, but the idea to sell your own stuff is a must-have income stream simply because it’s your product, you own it, and nobody can take that from you.

Sell Your Own Stuff in 4 “Not as Simple as it Sounds” Steps

  1. Create a product that resonates with your blogging audience.
  2. Decide your Point of Sale or Platform (like WooCommerce, Gumroad, SendOwl)
  3. Set it up and make it gorgeous
  4. Market the Shiznit out of it

Reasons to Sell Your Own Stuff

  • Make more money per sale
  • Have control over every aspect of the product, marketing, and pricing
  • No worries about someone else making future changes
  • Solidify yourself as an expert in your product’s niche
  • Unique product you can’t get anywhere else
  • Creates a fan base
  • You can have your own affiliates send you traffic
  • You can better track insights

The bottom line is you have more power and control over your own products than you would have on someone else’s product.

The caveat is it’s a little more work and energy to create the product, brand yourself, and become a trusted brand within a niche. This is why I recommend diversifying your income by harnessing affiliate marketing, advertising, and also sell your own stuff.

What’s Here?

The following information is to help you find everything you need to sell your own stuff.

I normally believe that too many options make it harder to make a decision, but when it comes to your website and system of flow for sales process, you kind of want to look at every option available just to at least make sure you are cool with the one you choose because changing the entire way you do things is not easy. So I put a lot of options.

I tried to hit the most popular things people are selling on the web, but if you have a niche item to sell, you might consider googling “Sell ____<insert niche item>___” just because there’s a multitude of places I didn’t cover.

In addition, this list is mainly for products, hence the name Sell Your Own Stuff. If you’re interested in places to sell services, check out Sell Your Services.

Because the following are more marketplaces, I screenshot VStat3’s statistics for the top visited sites. Anything with less than 50,000 visits a month would not show any stats. You want to consider more than just monthly visits. Time on site, pages per visit, most visits from, and organic keywords are also important.
